How embarrassing!!!

After all that braggin that I did in early October, I am now 40 minutes of hockey away from being eliminated. If LA beat STL tonight, your buddy Sick Gambler will be officially eliminated from the NHL Hockey Contest. I am very sad right now. I can't believe it. I am embarrassed as hell. This is my game. Even though I haven't made a pick in 3 weeks, and have completely not cared anymore, I am still pissed. I could have easily won this thing. Hey Jeffh and N.Ice,. can we change that rule of 50 units to maybe 60. I think I could really win this thing. I have got my confidence back and I have a new proven system that I would like to use. I am NOT kidding. Just give me the chance to use it, fair enough. Anyway, I always thought that 50 units was too low. Thanks

Gotta win today is the guy that is about to eliminate me from this contest with his LA Kings play, and he was the one who was always telling me before the contest started how he will kick my ass, and I would tell him, yeah right, you wish. A tough gig! I have to stay away from college b.ball, played all my life and I can't pick a college game to save myself!

 

Well folks, it's been nice. Thank you all for a lovely time, I really enjoyed myself. I just wish I could have lasted at least till Christmas. It's been great. Thanks for the memories. I could now go join all my buddies like Rattler, Vega and the rest by watching from the sidelines. When I made this post, it was 1-1 in the LA game after 1 period. Well, now it's 3-1 LA early 2nd. I guess my winter season won't be as fun anymore. I can't believe that I will be the 5th or 6th guy out of 170 players to be eliminated. I feel like putting a bag over my face now, as I'm very embarrassed. People will NEVER look at me the same way anymore.

 

 

I will soon be eliminated in this contests as well.

that's true boys, thanks. I forgot about the 2nd half. I guess I'm still in this contest afterall. But I don't even think I will play anymore seeing that I would be posting all my picks everyday just to only win 500, right. Is it only 500 bucks? That sucks, considering that the first prize for this whole contest is like 4,000. I don't even think 500 is worth the work of copying and pasting each pick for the next 5 months. I think I'll pass, but thanks for the fun. I will come back strong next year, watch and see.

As I said early in the season, it is highly unprobable to see many canadians at the top of this contest.

There are many reasons for that.

 

Don't feel too bad I am right behind you. When your chasing guys with +30 units you have to fire hard(5 games)Playing that many game two things happen you either make up ground quickly or crash & burn. You and I crashed and burned

 

For the past 2 weeks, I have been playing between 4-6 games.

I have been ending up either 2-2, 3-3, 2-2-1. No luck at all. I am hoping for a better second half.
